ScoreScout is a browser extension that shows guitar tabs, chords, and sheet music links for songs playing in the Spotify Web Player.
Nothing. ScoreScout has no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no user accounts.
The extension stores the following only in your browser's local storage, on your device:
This data never leaves your browser. It is not transmitted to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.
To show scores for the current song, the extension reads the song title and artist name displayed on the Spotify Web Player page (open.spotify.com). This information is sent only to Songsterr's public search API to find matching tabs. No listening history, account information, or personal data is read or transmitted.
Results link to third-party sites (Songsterr, Ultimate Guitar, Musescore, Musicnotes, Sheet Music Plus, YouTube). Some retailer links are affiliate links — if you make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Once you leave the extension, those sites' own privacy policies apply.
